Peony Founder Sarah Glynn received her cancer care at Boulder Community Health, where the B Strong Center for Integrative Care brings supportive therapies into the hospital setting alongside conventional cancer treatment.
Acupuncture, massage, Reiki, and other integrative services are delivered by trained practitioners working alongside the medical team treating the disease.
Not instead of treatment. Alongside it.
It is a local example of the kind of care Peony believes should become easier for more women to access: medical treatment surrounded by the support that helps a person live through it.
Sarah experienced the difference firsthand.
During treatment, Sarah received financial support that made it possible for her to access services at the B Strong Center.
As a single mother who stepped away from work during cancer treatment, that support mattered. It meant she could receive acupuncture, massage, Reiki, and other supportive care that otherwise may have been out of reach.
