Terms of Use

Last updated: September 7, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of gopeony.com and Peony websites, digital products, applications, educational materials, community features, Care Plans, events, programs, and other services that link to these Terms.

By accessing or using Peony, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the services.

About Peony

Peony provides educational, organizational, community, and non-clinical support resources for women navigating breast cancer and the people who support them.

Peony is not a hospital, physician practice, oncology clinic, or emergency service.

Except where expressly stated otherwise, Peony does not provide medical diagnosis or medical treatment.

Not Medical Advice

Peony content and services are provided for educational and organizational purposes.

Nothing available through Peony should be considered individualized medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a recommendation to begin, stop, or change medical care.

Always discuss medical decisions, symptoms, medications, supplements, therapies, and treatment questions with an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

For additional information, review our Medical Disclaimer.

Emergencies

Peony is not an emergency service.

If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number or seek immediate medical care.

Do not rely on Peony, an Integrative Healthcare Advocate, community member, practitioner directory, AI feature, email, message, or other Peony communication for emergency assistance.

The Peony Care Plan

The Peony Care Plan is a woman-owned planning and organizational tool.

It is not an official medical record, medical treatment plan, diagnostic tool, or substitute for professional medical care.

You are responsible for deciding what information to include, what to leave blank, and what to share with others.

Your healthcare team remains responsible for your medical treatment plan.

Integrative Healthcare Advocates

Integrative Healthcare Advocates provide non-clinical support.

Unless separately licensed and acting explicitly within an independent professional license, an Integrative Healthcare Advocate does not diagnose disease, prescribe treatment, interpret medical tests, practice medicine, or replace a licensed healthcare professional.

Integrative Healthcare Advocates may help organize information, prepare questions, clarify priorities, coordinate support, navigate practical needs, and help women participate more fully in conversations about their care.

Peony does not guarantee that any particular Integrative Healthcare Advocate will be appropriate for every user or situation.

Practitioners and Directory Listings

Peony may provide information about practitioners, organizations, products, services, or other resources.

A listing, verification badge, profile, interview, inclusion in a directory, or mention by Peony does not constitute a guarantee of quality, safety, suitability, licensure, efficacy, or results.

Users are responsible for independently evaluating any practitioner or service and confirming credentials, licensure, scope of practice, insurance coverage, costs, and suitability.

Peony is not responsible for medical or professional services independently provided by third parties.

Educational Content and Experts

Peony may feature physicians, researchers, practitioners, educators, survivors, authors, or other guests.

Views expressed by a guest belong to that individual and do not necessarily represent Peony.

Educational content may discuss emerging evidence, differing professional opinions, or complementary approaches. Information changes over time, and Peony does not guarantee that all content is complete, current, or applicable to your individual circumstances.

Integrative and Complementary Care

Peony may provide education about nutrition, movement, rehabilitation, mind-body practices, supplements, complementary therapies, or other supportive approaches.

Inclusion of an approach does not mean it is appropriate for every person.

Some therapies, supplements, products, or practices may interact with cancer treatment, medications, medical conditions, or procedures.

Discuss relevant approaches with your healthcare team before making decisions about your care.

Artificial Intelligence

Some Peony features may use artificial intelligence.

AI-generated information may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information.

AI features are intended to assist with tasks such as organization, education, question preparation, or resource discovery. They are not a substitute for medical judgment, professional evaluation, or emergency care.

You remain responsible for decisions you make based on information obtained through Peony.

  • harass, threaten, exploit, or harm other users
  • post unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, or abusive material
  • use Peony to provide medical care beyond your lawful professional scope
  • misrepresent Peony content as individualized medical advice

We may restrict or terminate access when we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.

Community Conduct

Peony communities are intended to be supportive and respectful.

Users may share personal experiences, but personal experiences should not be presented as universal medical facts.

Do not pressure another user to reject medical treatment, discontinue medication, or adopt a particular therapy.

Do not solicit confidential health information from other users for commercial purposes.

Peony may remove content or restrict participation when necessary to protect the community.

Intellectual Property

Peony and its content, including the Peony Care Plan™, text, designs, logos, graphics, educational materials, frameworks, courses, worksheets, videos, audio, and other materials, are owned by Peony or used with permission and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Unless we expressly state otherwise, Peony materials are provided for your personal, non-commercial use.

You may print and reuse worksheets designated as reusable for your own personal use.

You may not reproduce, sell, sublicense, publish, modify, distribute, create competing products from, or commercially exploit Peony materials without written permission.

Practitioners and Integrative Healthcare Advocates may receive separate licenses governing professional use.

User Content

If you submit content to Peony, you retain ownership of your original content.

You grant Peony the rights reasonably necessary to host, process, store, display, transmit, and otherwise use that content to provide the services you request.

We will not use private health information in public marketing materials without appropriate permission.

If you voluntarily submit a testimonial, review, story, image, or other content for public use, additional permissions may apply.

Purchases

Certain Peony products, programs, services, events, retreats, or memberships may require payment.

Prices and applicable terms will be disclosed before purchase.

Additional terms, cancellation policies, refund policies, participation agreements, or waivers may apply to particular purchases.

Those additional terms become part of your agreement with Peony for that service.

No Guarantee of Results

Health outcomes vary from person to person.

Peony does not guarantee any particular medical, physical, emotional, professional, financial, or other outcome from using Peony services, following educational content, attending a program, working with an Integrative Healthcare Advocate, consulting a listed practitioner, or using a product or resource mentioned by Peony.

Third-Party Services

Peony may link to or integrate with third-party websites, applications, practitioners, services, products, or platforms.

We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, privacy practices, services, products, or conduct.

Your use of third-party services may be subject to separate terms.

Sponsored Content, Partnerships, and Affiliate Relationships

Peony may work with sponsors, partners, brands, practitioners, or other organizations.

Sponsored content, paid partnerships, affiliate relationships, or other material commercial relationships will be identified where required.

Peony may receive compensation, funding, referral fees, sponsorship revenue, affiliate commissions, or other benefits in connection with certain relationships.

A commercial relationship does not guarantee that a product, service, or practitioner is appropriate for you.

Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Peony services are provided “as is” and “as available.”

Peony does not warrant that the services will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, accurate, secure, or suitable for every user.

Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot legally be waived.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Peony and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the services.

Indemnification

You agree to be responsible for claims, losses, or expenses arising from your unlawful use of Peony or material violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to Peony if necessary to protect users, comply with law, enforce these Terms, address security concerns, or respond to misuse.

You may stop using Peony at any time.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required.
